Dear Brethren,

MEDITATION

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24 And that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:23-24

OBSERVATION AND INTERPRETATION

1. Renewal

a) Many pastors are often:

i) Tired

ii) Not motivated
iii) No energy

b) Renewal is important

i) The spirit is where renewal must take place
ii) The mind must also be renewed

2. And uplifting text that speaks of Renewal

28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

a) God will give us power to be renewed
b) He will increase our strength
c) He will renew us

i) We will not be weary
ii) We will not faint

3. Putting on the new man

a) This refers to the new nature God has given us
b) This is created afresh in God’s image
c) Two features stand out

i) True righteousness
ii) Holiness

APPLICATION TO LIFE AND MINISTRY

1. Things that we must ever seek as servants of God
2. Spiritual renewal
3. Power and strength
4. Cultivation of the new nature

a) In True righteousness
b) In holiness
